Have you ever felt like the world is testing you on a daily basis? Or that no matter what you do, things seem to go the opposite of how you’d like them to?
When these types of things happen in my life, I try to remind myself of two things:
1. “That sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck” – Dalai Lama
2. That there is power and progress in pain. What is the gift in this experience?
When metal or glass needs to be strengthened and shaped, it goes through a process of heating, cooling, and hammering. On the other end of this process, the finished product is stronger and the edges are smooth. It is tempered into something more perfect.
Instead of looking at trials in our life as painful experiences, what if we looked at them like this? That we are being tempered. That sometimes things need to break apart as they are reorganizing. That we are being molded into our more perfect form, harnessing our greatness from struggles, and personal power from our moments of pain.
When you are able to see the gifts in the challenges in your life, it brings a sense of ease and acceptance to situations that can otherwise overwhelm our lives and cloud the true purpose of our existence: To share our gifts with the world.
The more you support yourself, the less challenging things will seem. Change your spine, change your life!
